Professor Kumar received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Master of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2003, 2005 and 2009, respectively. He completed his post-doctoral studies from Autonoma University of Madrid, Spain. He has over 17 years of experience in academics and research.
He has held various positions such as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. He is the author of many research papers published in various journals/conferences. He is serving as reviewer/member of editorial board for many journals/conferences. He is registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
He has supervised and examined many Master’s/PhD dissertations/theses. At present, he is working as an Associate Professor in the Discipline of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. His research areas include Antenna Engineering, Wireless Communications, Signal and Image Processing.
