Colin Richmond holds an MSc Eng and BSc Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town. He is currently a lecturer under the New Generation of Academics Programme (nGAP).

His specific focus and area of research is the performance of alloys under extreme conditions for energy, structural and nuclear applications.
