Dr Jon Pocock is a lecturer in Chemical and Minerals Engineering within UKZN. His research interests began in Minerals Processing (particularly coal processing, comminution and flotation) and have moved into non-standard sanitation (properties and processing of faecal matter, urine separation and reinventing the toilet for the 21st Century). He also loves teaching and have worked to improve his lecturing over the years through the study of engineering education and research into improvements to student access and achievement.
