Mr Chilufya’s career in academia spans a period of over 20 years. He has taught numerous modules in land surveying and has been an invitee as a resource person in teaching and curriculum development.  

He is a three–time recipient of the UKZN Programme of Land Surveying excellence in Teaching Award while his current research interests are in Applied Remote Sensing, an area where he is undertaking his on-going PhD research.
