Mr Thando Nqasha

NGAP Lecturer

Mr Nqasha has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Land Surveying. He is a junior lecture at University of KwaZulu-Natal and a contractor at Maya Geophysics. He has done extensive research in earthquake directional effects on the 2014 Orkney earthquake. He worked as an assistant for Dr Mayshree Singh in the Underwater Heritage Mapping project and in earthquake field damage and intensity studies for more than three years. His main research focuses on the seismic risk of low-cost houses. His skills include Research, Surveying and Mapping, GIS and field-based earthquake studies.
